Well , I realize touring in a cave is pretty boring , what is there to snap besides rocks , rocks and still rocks?

How to make stuff interesting? Well.. depends on one's creativity.. Mine isn't anywhere near creative yet , shall give it a try =D

#1 The Suspended Table in the Lake Cave

- If you notice closely , you could see that the rocks or whatever you call that doesn't even touch the water , it is fully supported just by the ceiling -

#2 The Middle Finger Rock

I find this quite amusing , maybe because I'm a straight guy. Surely can't the rocks be more creative than this.

#3 Wavy Hand Limestone

-Well , I can see that this limestone is like the shape of a hand, wonder how that happen.-

#4 Curvy Long Limstone

-Hah! This is my favorite of all , this curvy and long limestone can make one imagination goes wild , think about it . What do you think this is? -

#5 A Rock with a Mouth

-Somehow this looks like some sea monster who was trapped in this cave for years and rock-fied into this ugly rock =P -

Margaret River - Beach House

Easter week was one of the most relax weeks after coming to Perth for the past 2 months. First stop for first holiday is Margaret River, which is well known for its winery and chocolates. Though the group I hang with is not really interested in wine =P

First stop of the day is The Chocolate Factory , which is filled with only but only chocolates.. Though the price is a bit on the hefty side.

I find this interesting.. Bet the girls out there would prefer chocolates rather than sex..

Well , right after the chocolate company , dropped by IGA to get some groceries and then head to our accommodation. Best part of the trip starts from here, I never really expect any quality for the beach house since I'm born and raise in Malaysia , it just disappoints me every time I step into some accommodation somewhere in Malaysia.

Wao , I'm impress.. 520 aussie dollars = Rm 1560 for 8 pax.. Rm 195 per person which refers to me. I find this pretty awesome. Its like living in the president suite =D 3 bedrooms , 1 kitchen , 3 toilets , 1 dining room , laundry room and so on.. Whats the best part of it? A 42 inch LCD =D

I would come back to this place to just hang out and chill out , the place is just way too awesome. Lets see , I'll update the rest when I'm free =D

Life in Perth - Australia

Settling down here seems easy when you have a sibling to look after you , got my room with internet access in less than 10 mins if I remember correctly.

So here is my room , very english-like. The bricks as designs and so on. Oh well , this is my room for the next 4 years I presume.

Yes , My table consisting of my nearly 5 year old and still rocking laptop. I bet i have the oldest laptop among my friends =P Right?

I just love the way they design stuff , so not malaysian-ish ..

Apparently for freshies we're suppose to stay at the roof top . Oh well, for the past few days things been going smooth , guess I love my Room now , its Durrow 212 =D sounds so Harry Potter-ish.. LOL.. Gryffindor~~~

So durrow is just a wing name which is a subset of Trinity . And the logo is so nice.. Love it!

Went for enrollment today , got my student card and everything done , guess I'm fully settled in Australia already. Whee..

But there are somethings that I miss , that I regretted never bringing here , though not even near possible that could happen.

Somehow without any PP in this photo , I just love the contrast in this photo , reflects how I feel currently. See the rust by the shoe , see how long have I've used it . Time pass , memories are what it is now.

Oh ya this is a special part for my buddy Theam Hee , for his remarkable Dog that is humping my laptop , no wonder my laptop is getting more power day by day . As they say ' sex a day keeps the doctor away ' . Okay.. that is so wrong! LOL!

Since I havent quite posted for a very long time , and I dont even have a single idea on what to blog. I shall blog on general knowledge, things that some of you might know , and some not.

Recently , I have friends asking me ' Hey , is that a china phone you're using? ' Yes indeed, the company is from Taiwan , so I guess its a china phone right?

Well , let me briefly explains what HTC is . HTC basically is a PDA company that creates phones using windows mobile , its like Nokia using symbian. HTC phones are usually powered better than nokia which are the reasons behind the pricing.

Why HTC? One of the main reason is I like the full 5 rows qwerty. unlike in Nokia N97 , its only a 3 rows qwerty.. imagine you share the button Q with the number 1 =P how fun would it be to have a dedicated button for each . and btw , its so sexy XD

I can hardly squeeze everything into the frame . =D

Okay , now the main question. Why HTC over the Iphone that has tremendous support throughout the decade.

1st - HTC has qwerty keyboard while Iphone don't.

2nd - HTC is windows mobile powered while Iphone is Mac powered.

3rd - HTC has things like radios and camera led while Iphone doesnt.

4th - HTC has Touch FLO 3D which is sooooo sexy! Nobody would think that its windows based.

5th - HTC has better screen resolution , which enables easier web viewing.

6th - Need not say more! XD

One thing about HTC is , its rare. Unlike Iphones.. Its all over the street. I prefer something stealthy but overall Im quite happy what my phone can bring me. Iphone are just overrated! LOL.. * Don't kill me iphone fanz * * just my two cents *

Yar , its the New Sony TX1.. LOL! I always wanted to get a compact , easier when going out instead of lugging the almighty bulky DSLR.. its so compact and stylish Im loving it more and more day by day..

Its my New lens for my Dslr , been wanting to get this for ages, My first lens replacement since I bought my cam 1.5 years ago.. LOL!

This was quite unexpected , never thought things could happen that fast.. LOL.

Best part of it , it comes with a cert as well! Quality control is there though.. wheee..

Darn , I'm loving this lens so much I feel like sleeping with it every night , its so different from my previous al-cheapo kit lens.

Solid lens I might say , loving every bits of it. Just that when I think about the amount I pay , sometimes I'll still tend to sulk =(

Pratically did nothing , mis-communication =P went out with friends instead.. * Im so bad *

2nd Month -

Hmph , mad at her with her jacket again , at least now the jacket is never in sight again..

Went to Azuma for dinner , great but pricey .* Remember the perfume? =P * And Flowers.. whee.. first time =)

3rd Month -

Woots , love this month the most =) really spent the whole day with you .. Went to Mukahead for the first time * nyeh , take that Collins * , made sandwiches and home made fruit juice! wheee.. Picnic by the beach and dragged her down the sea with her clothes on! haha.. Have to thanks to Sheng , Wy and Kc for the later stuff =) a Heart and a Doraemon ends the wonderful day =)

4th Month -

Nothing much practically , she asked me to find a job and made my time limited to spend with her. A card and the most important is , Harry Potter Premier class tickets.. LOL! I can count my premier classes with just one hand =) and u're one of them =)

5th Month -

Yet again , busy with work and you busy with your stpm .. Nothing really much this month , hehe.. Hello Kitty and Doraemon =P hahaha.. Pillow Fight?

6th Month -

Spent the most this month , you and my shirt.. just for a day =) Contact lenses.. * no more glasses ya =) * and last but not least.. hehe.. Perfume.. lulu.. Hoped you like it =)

Yes yes , I'm at work now , one of my colleague went home d and the other one went smoking in the toilet =P HEHE !

So business was really bad , economy very bad or tesco is not an attractive place at all.. Think the shop will tumbang in a year or two.. LOL! That I don't care..

Well , the best part of today is.. I sold my very first Videocam! LOLOL! * okay okay , nth to be proud of though * . Can't wait to finish work today and enjoy a movie in gurney.. yeahhhh =)

Ah well.. back to work.. its boring , basically I just walk around , facebook a bit , msn a bit , sms a bit and sleep a bit .. and get paid for all those stuff , not bad huh =P

Anyway , yay! I applied for one Uni and I got accepted in less than a week =P * Wheeeee , I'm so proooooooo * Don't ask me what uni , ain't telling you.. huahaha , not like you would want to know anyway.

I find it rather weird that I'll start talking to myself eventually after working for like 2 months , can't quite blame me right? imagine your working hours which is 9am-1030pm.. hectic..

Bawh , by the time I finish typing this , its already 2nd of September , so be it ...

2nd month working to date , have another 4 months to go I think , assumming if any Universities would want me that is.

Let me summarize out , 1st August till 31st August 2009... 50 Hours of OT , 5 days Off , Over RM 200 Incentive .. * Eyyy , not bad for starters huh * Gonna have to work hard for the next two months , confirmation coming up.. Wheee.. hopefully I get it soon.

Well , first of all , I really need to confess some of my sins .. I feel really bad selling some of the stuff , but maybe this is the way of sales line . I think sometimes I went overboard , I really wish to apologize to those people , though they would never have a chance to see this .. Oh well..

Second , Wheeeeeeeee.. I love working.. I think I'm Gonna do more OTs this month , never thought working would be this fun =) Get to know new people , new exposure , socialize more , broaden your knowledge and communication.. Damn , I think I might be addicted to working..

Can you imagine getting trapped in a jam inside your house compartment? Yes , it did really happen, to me =.= Well , I managed to get out of the house finally after 30 mins or so.

One word , Hectic . My house was jammed by I think 20 cars or so =.= Was nearly late to work , thank god I made it in time.

Last night , went to Eng's house after work.. Just drop by to accompany her awhile.. It was I think quite late that time , hope I didn't disturb her parents..

Well , the only thing she hates me doing is , to touch her doraemon =.= Lala.. But I still like stealing away her doraemon. Its some kind of Doraemon-fetish.

LoL , took some photo with her . And I notice my eye bags are getting darker and darker day by day =.= * The photos seems abit 18sx *

Eng and her doraemon.. She finally stole back after long attempts.

Well , today I became a runner boy =.= Went to sunshine farlim to collect some stocks and did my first ever time.. Buying lottery numbers... Seriously I've never done so.

It's kind of embarrass though , I didn't know where the form were , had to ask. Didn't know how to fill in , had to ask again. And when I wanted to pay , I asked the girl at the counter how much and she just had to give me that weird stare =.=

After days of working I finally got my off days to take a break and chill out.

Fact 1

Watched Harry Potter on the day it launched , got the best ticket for that hour , bought it 3 days before the launch. It brings back memories of the previous series.

Eng loves this movie so much until I nearly got neglected. sadness.
Great day , thanks to my colleagues also , they are just so awesome =)

Fact 2

Lots o people had been buzzing me asking where I'm working at , some knows exactly where , the rest well just know its in Penang =P

Well , I simply love working there , nothing much to do , can crap and crack jokes , online and cakap anything at any moment.

For example ,

One of my dinner at there was Pizza , although pizza hut was only like 2 floors down. We ordered online. LOLness.

Then instead of delivery we chose pick up , tried to call the pizza hut 2 floors down whether can they deliver it up for us for F.O.C . Well , instead they wanted RM 3 =.= which is blood sucking.

We were laughing all the way and bla bla bla. Cool la wei.. haha..

In the end us 3 didn't manage to finish 2 large pizzas, Epicness failed =(

Guess thats for the time being , shall be heading to work now , wouldn't want to be late right =) Cant wait to reach there. =P

Last Day with Collins

Collins Santa , is the greatest kid I've ever known , unlike all my juniors that I've known throughout the years , none acts like him . He's unique in his own kind.

I mean like , who dares to shout vulgar words out the streets and show his talk cock hand signal and yet so adorable =P His Indian-Chinese accent is just way to abnormal.

Bawh , as the topic says , its his last day in Penang so well Subash and I made a plan to hang out with him this very last time and bid him farewell for good . LOL.

First stop was mamak stall beside KDU , our favorite spot of meal during lunch.

Cheerful all the way , as a saying goes by : As Juey As Penguin

Whenever there's penguins , there's Juey.

One thing miserable about Juey is that she never had a good life as she always dream of , she always wanted to be like Cinderella but sadly , that never happen to her in this life.

Slavery was her only way to life.

She has to massage her masters and madam daily.

Become a sandbag whenever her master is angry .

Being tortured whenever her masters feels like.

She even became her master's mistress , been brought to pubs for display and so on.

They even made her do things to the extend of the unthinkable.

Suicide came first in mind when things weren't in her way.

Without expecting any replies , she suddenly received a wahyu which indicates her that only by tackling and coupling with a monkey would bring her happiness and end all her suffering.

After attempts of trying to court a monkey , after failures and failures.

She finally succeeded after a very very long time. And there she kissed the cute little monkey.

Well , I wondered for a while what Ultra violet is .. Have you ever thought that why Ultra Violet is called Ultra Violet? What more d you know about it?? Does it has a relation with Violet?

All of these thinking happened in Chemistry class =P Collins suggested that I asked the physics teacher , but I prefer to ask Mr.Wiki.. LOL.. It's more reliable =P Trust me on this.

So basically..

Damn , thanks to Eng now I damn miss my secondary school.. Sigh , actually I went back to Clhs last month for the 迎新日. Noi actually woke me up middle of my dream -.- Damn him!!! LOL.. oh well.. Woke up , took my camera bag and started my walk =P

Well , it's being quite long that I was MIA , though I wanted to blog about some stuff but couldn't find my wire for it, blue tooth ain't working. Everything is just not along my path~

My HDD isn't with me some more , no picture posting this time. Life sucks , Class reopens , exams approach = The dead has arrived somehow..

Well , Chinese New Year was so so to me, went for a 3 days 2 nights holiday somewhere in Penang =P Alone~ well , some friends did came and visit me =P Thanks Peiying , Eng , Sheng and Kc.. haha~~

So now I'm back in buisness , got the breakdown of the results today , wasn't quite happy with it but what to do, decided not to retake as I don't like to waste money * Wait , next sentence is very contradicting *

Now I have another question in mind , whether should I get a kit lens replacement for my camera , it would cost around 1.6 k left and right.. sigh.. still wondering~~

Well , Brian invited me to a party the other day on 2nd of January 2009 , he just said it was a party but I knew it was a birthday party!! Woots! nice try~

Okay , so on 21st of December 2008 , I attended a Sony Workshop in Berjaya Hotel .. The food was just ok-ok.. wasn't as great as it was in G-hotel.. *drools*

Haha.. I expected John to be our teacher that day but too bad so sad it was a Sony worker instead.. or was it? LoL, couldn't recall.. lol! Anyway , learned some cool stuff on flash though , thanks alot! Met a lot of new friends there , I mean adults~~ LOL.. Kena bully -.-

Anyway , bla bla bla * Skipping the boring part * I'll just post the model's photo here.. There were 2 models for us nearly 60 ppl to shoot.. Sien la, thats why I didn't shoot much under the red hot sun .

I somehow prefer the 2nd model.. hehe! Looks prettier and more sexy.. huahaha!!

So after the sunrise shootout that early morning ,we continued our journey to balik pulau. Frankly I've never been Balik pulau before , its my first time =P =.=

Well, he brought me through roads that were never meant for cars but only motorcycles.. =.= Swt man , I thought my car is going down the edges , Noi drives a kancil btw.

Yar yar , so we reached the place in one piece , went down and started our shootout.. it's a nice place to photograph though , better if there's a model =P hehe!

Well , initially , someone thought Pantai Acheh was a place that has Pantai a.k.a Beach but he was wrong! It was full of mountains .. LoL!

Yay! We went and had Mee Goreng for brunch , yesh .. I didn't eat anything that morning , woke up at 630a.m and rushed out .

Noi had being petering me about a sunrise shootout since ages ago until I couldn't even recall.. Well , this happened 1 month ago , should had posted it earlier but was busy dealing with the blog post of my holiday trip.. So he's finally glad that I'm now posting this..

Sorry ar to disappoint you Noi , but no PP was involved.. LoL.. Was too lazy and classes are in an hour time.

Yar , so early that day , we went to the destination round 7am in the freaking early morning where it's still damn cold =.= walked into the village until the end and started setting up our toys!

Don't expect too much from our sunrise shootout.. what can you shoot rather than the sun? =P

Jonker Walk and last post of my trip =)

So Jonker Walk was our last destination in our trip , which means this will be my last post of our trip! Finally!! LOL! I lost count on how many posts I made based on my trip , hope it doesn't bored you =P

Remember that we waited for the freaking bus for around two hours plus? took that bus to melaka sentral then retook another bus to Jonker which cost another hour for us! In the end we reached Jonker near 6 I guess , everyone was starving =P

In Malacca , ever since the last time I came here 3 years ago , I yearn for the Chicken rice balls but never had the chance to actually taste 1 , so this was my chance =P

We were served by quite a young waiter , at first we wanted 5 rice balls each for everyone of us , there's 6 of us so which means we SHOULD had ordered around 30 rice balls.. which cost us 30 cents for each rice ball.

In the End...

There's like only 15 rice balls on the plate , why? Because somehow the cute and handsome waiter convince us by repeating his words over and over again! He said , Jonker street has much more to explore , don't eat too much. LOL! Imagine if his boss were beside him =P

Oh well , some people didn't pay me back the money for that dinner still =P

So after our dinner , we started walking .. LOL! Brian on the other hand was busy finding his satay! LOL.

Crocodile Farm

College started and things started to heat up , homework started to pile and I can't seem to like do extra work instead I'm slacking behind , sigh.

Oh well , shall complete up my trip which is exactly 1 month ago , just left with 2 more post plus this one , hooray!! LoL!

Shall start of with our friend who flew to U.S half a month ago.. haha!

She just love to pose doesn't she.. Maybe she's obsessed with the big gun infront of her =P

So , in fact we were in time for some crocodile event or show that was held that day ..

First show was plain boring , they asked two kids to go on stage and bla bla bla * lame magic tricks *

Second show got way more cooler .. I went in front to shoot with my big gun, huahaha!! They first kissed the crocodile.. ewwwww beastality! and followed by brushing the crocs' teeth..

Our Tc got fired from his job and looked furious -.- OMG OMG! He seems like he wants to slaughter me =.= * Actually there was not a need for a TC anymore =p *

Mini Malaysia Part 1

After.. Finally after some time, I've decided to follow up my trip's procedure .. Sorry for keeping you guys waiting for the trip's post.. Apparently.. besides me .. The other didn't even post about the trip =.= If you don't post arrrr.. I'll make sure those forbidden pictures will be up in my final post about the trip =P hehehe!!

So, We're on tight budget , remember? So we've decided to walk all the way from our resort to Mini Malaysia, stopping at Mcd for breakfast. Proceeded with laughter.

The pricing were quite okay I guess, it's Rm 10 per person and Rm 2 for each camera.. well.. We didn't pay for the latter 1 =P hehe!

Apparently Soo Peng I think is obsess with Terengganu , think maybe she'll want to live there some day.. a state that is owned by PAS.. hehe!

So what do you ya think of the two photos below.. You like it without a model or with a model! Make your choice!!

Ah , so as the photographer .. Me has to sacrifice myself by helping them taking group photos!!! hahaha!!

Remember what I said when malaysians doesn't obid by the rule? Yar.. before we cross the bridge, it says : Don't jump on the bridge . Guess what happened.. They jumped like there was no tomorrow!

We don't know why this happened though , but suddenly Wei Yang ran towards Kai Chia from the back and slipped! LOL! This is how his shirt looks like after the fall..

Now let me tell you a story that happened in Mini Malaysia on 15th of December where a group of kids were arguing on stage for some reason.

# Scene 1

There were two famous gang back then * Year 2008 * where they met on some historical place fighting for a place to photograph themselves.

# Scene 2

Things started to heat up as both gang leaders faced each other on the place.

# Scene 3

Suddenly , One of the guy from the gang betrayed his team maybe for the girl and fought bravely with the gang leader.

# Scene 4

They seemed to be like dancing but in actual fact the fight was getting more and more tense. The girls were laughing because the other gang was having internal quarrel , it was a win-win situation for them!

# Scene 5

Well , it seems like the fight ended and the gang leader was despress on having such an unfaithful gang member. The fight ended with tears but the girls were laughing away on our stupidity.

# Scene 6

The gang leader was indeed wise when he thought of a solution to prevent any more gang fight among us. He merged the two gangs together so his gang member won't be fighting with him over a girl! This is what you call... zhong se qing you!

Well , went for an early badminton game today with my coursemate.. LOL.. Yay!! I lost two sets in a row =.= not to my coursemate la... LOL! someone older than us by 4 years =.=

It was a good game , guessed I pressured him quite alot but he did well in pressuring me =P
Partly I have to blame Santa or New year for giving me this present!! LOL..

My new year presenttttt!! LOL.. Now I have to take out Rm 30++ to repair the damage -.-

LoL.. it just ain't a good start for the new year..

Well, to be frank I didn't blog the past few days was due to I'm not in a very good mood.. haih.. Sorry that I failed myself =.=

5th Day - Where All it began

Yesh , it's the starting of a new journey , new events and new stories to be told during the last 2 days in Melaka.. Hehe.. Am so lazy to post it now though.. shall begin it with a teaser =P

Day 4 - A normal yet boring day

It all started one morning where someone found hope while the other one lost hope.. LOL.. Today will be much of a boring day as KL is such a boring city.. wonder whose idea was it to take the evening bus.. HMPH!

Yesh , 3 years ago , 1 year ago and today .. We're still staying in the same place.. Grand Olympic Hotel.. Things changed , hotel remains the same.. haha.. It's cheap and we're on budget.. what do you expect?? LOL.

Well, one thing we're shocked about , the new rooms which are way more expensive at the price of Rm 140++ per room is shockingly new and modern =P Compared to the past ...

So bla bla bla , just the day began quite late , guess everyone was flat out.. We had lunch in Chi Cheong Kai a.k.a chinatown.. walked to Timesquare because someone wanted to meet me but didn't turn up!! HMPH! wasted our time there finding a bench to sit down and crap..

When we wanted to proceed to the bus terminal , it rained heavily.. taxi were full of people waiting .. In the end we had to walk under the rain as Wei Yang's was the only one to bring an umbrella ..

Took the bus around 5pm in the evening, reached Melaka Sentral around 8pm ++ =.= Taxis are expensive -.- RM 25 for a ride to our resort .. Decided to take local bus due to budget constraint..

Everyone was damn hungry , so we decided to try Melaka's Famous rice ball chicken rice but sad to say , they ran out of stock -.- So we had to eat normal chicken rice!

Well , we took our local bus at around 8 something , waited for the bus to be filled and finally reached our place around 940pm.. The bus driver was so nice to drop us to our area as we're not quite familiar around..

Luckily we managed to check in in time as the last check in time was 10pm =.= Phew!! After a day of boring-ness, the day was just beginning which is another story =P

Well , for a friday night , the price are quite reasonable though.. RM 6 per game and RM 2 for rental of shoes.. 5 of us played except Brian! HMPH!! Maybe he kia su.. hmph!

Well , I just have to say this!! Kai Chia bowled the ball backwards!! HAHAHAHAHA!

Xmas eve!

Ah , so since I posted this on another forum after being pestered by someone.. So I might as well post it here.. Don't think anyone here would know this guy though , but some of you guys might seen him before =p Esp kdu students..

So, this year I spent my Xmas eve in my friend's party and birthday party.. LOL!! Well , was lazy to take photos that night though.. so here are some only.. mostly about the birthday boy =P

Oh ya , they made me drink this =( haih!! One full glass.. hmph! Bad bad!!

Alven and June managed to surprised him on xmas eve , don't know where is he surprised or not though.* One thing is , he's busy smsing all night * I wonder who..

What I like about him is.. he's sporting * sometimes * He even posed while smsing while receving the cake! Beat that!

Oh well.. I missed out the shot that June smashed Kee's head into the cake though, it all happened too fast and obviously Kee resisted..It's obvious that June failed to smashed Kee's head, look at the amount of cream!! LOL..

Haha! it was lots of fun though .. June should had asked Alven to do the job instead.. then it'll be ensured that Kee's face will be full of cream.. too bad! LOL!Though later on it was presents time!

Nono , it's not for kee !! LOL.. it's for the xmas gift exchange!! LOL.. I got a lion/tiger from June.. Alven got my presents which are chocolates!! WOOO!! thanks! I had a great time this year , something different from every year =) Next year might be my last year in Msia =(

Sungei Wang and Dinner

It's Sungei Wang or Sungai Wang? Normally people refer it as Sungai Wang don't they ? But its gei =.= Bawh, who cares.. LOL.. This was a place I swear I'll never step in last year , but oh no.. Not my decision to come here again.. LOL.. The place is terrible and I'm always cautious about my camera bag. Okay, I'm being paranoid ..

Well , basically , KL isn't a place for my group though as no1 besides Brian is interested in shopping.. Haih! Rm 80 Levi's jeans in the first shop and RM 200++ in the 2nd shop?? Wahhh! Imagine if you buy that Brian, no more satay celup for us =P

Yet again , they couldn't decide what to have for dinner and I had to make the most expensive choice by offering them to dine in Bistro Delifrance =.= Which is the most expensive meal we had during our trip * Serious =.= *

Immediately after we ordered our food , Me , Sheng and Wei Yang rushed out to take photos of ........ MASK RIDER.. lol.. lame.. They two ran off quite fast while I was still busy snapping away , guess that they are hungry already. LOL.

I couldn't remember much of the name of the meal though , it's RM 20 per person , lesser for me , soo peng and kai chia as we didn't take any set.. haha.. Yet again Brian didn't even touch his vege =P tsk tsk tsk. TEEEMMUUUM!

Wei Yang tried to be cruel by stabbing his already dead chicken , but failed because he placed a smile when stabbing the chicken.. unless he's lunatic =.=

OMG.. Though he succeeded in scaring off people like Kai chia and Soo Peng.. Gosh! They must had had a bad dream that night thanks to you =P

Trip to KL

After 3 days of tiring days in Cameron , actually 2 days since our bus to KL was at 1030 a.m. , We're officially leaving Cameron Highland.. Sad to say , I miss the weather.. On the other hand , there wasn't much for us to do there anymore.

What I was quite angry that morning was , the bus company in Penang didn't even secure safe seats for us from Cameron to KL -.- There were no records of our tickets , oh well.. luckily there are still seats left , I mean lots! haha.. Never ever trust bus companies in penang.. =.= The price that the penang people gave us seems overpriced -.-

Oh well , I would definitely miss cameron and I'm proud to say , we 5 had conquered Cameron Highland by FOOT! can you beat that? =P haha..

We were scheduled for a 4-5 hours ride but don't know why in the middle of no where , our bus stopped down for quite some time .. It's really middle of no where okay.. They could had easily rob us and took away my harta =( haih!

Oh yea , I got bus sick that day , felt so pening when going down the hill of cameron , bet that the rest faced the same problem =P

Well , lucky for us , they stopped for lunch in the middle of no where.. couldn't quite remember the name of the place.. oh well , its lunch time! Was so hungry that time =(

It cost us 20 cents for the toilet and yet again Shandy was the first to enter and the last to come out =P

Food wasn't very promising but what more could you ask?

Time Tunnel , wondering what is it actually , maybe some time machine I thought to myself . Oh well , since we're here why not we pay the place a visit . The name sounds interesting , doubting about the contents of the place though.

Yea , simple saying , it's Cameron's Museum .. It cost you RM 5 per ticket to get it , we fully utilized the RM 5 , walked around 2 hours in it while the rest of the tourist spent less than 30 minutes in it! Wheee, All thanks to Sheng a.k.a the utilize-er of everything he pays . LoL!

Well , somehow I noticed that my photos are getting worse and worse day by day , don't know maybe I didn't really compose when shooting prolly to low battery after a whole day of outing =.= * Haih * Wake up wake up and be more creative!

So basically Time Tunnel is full of ancient stuff , not actually that ancient though , it belongs to the 30's and 40's where Cameron just began to develop .

Okay , I couldn't recall whose idea it was to take the ''shortcut'' which is to walk on the grass rather than the roads , maybe it was mine or TC's or maybe the rest. Idk.

Well , at first it seems like a great idea , splendid indeed . But as we continue to proceed forward , things just doesn't seem pleasant. LOL

We reached till the end of the grass journey and decided using the road would be a wiser choice , but the longkang is just way too deep.

The End of the World - Apophis

SUMMARY

Researchers at NASA/JPL, Caltech, and Arecibo Observatory have released the results of radar observations of the potentially hazardous asteroid 99942 Apophis, along with an in-depth analysis of its motion. The research will affect how and when scientists measure, predict, or consider modifying the asteroid's motion. The paper has been accepted for publication in the science journal "Icarus" and was presented at the AAS/DPS conference in Orlando, Florida in October of 2007. The Apophis study was led by Jon Giorgini, a senior analyst in JPL's Solar System Dynamics group and member of the radar team that observed Apophis.

The analysis of Apophis previews situations likely to be encountered with NEAs yet to be discovered: a close approach that is not dangerous (like Apophis in 2029) nonetheless close enough to obscure the proximity and the danger of a later approach (like Apophis in 2036) by amplifying trajectory prediction uncertainties caused by difficult-to-observe physical characteristics interacting with solar radiation as well as other factors.

BACKGROUND

Upon its discovery in 2004, Apophis was briefly estimated to have a 2.7% chance of impacting the Earth in 2029. Additional measurements later showed there was no impact risk at that time from the 210-330 meter (690-1080 foot) diameter object, identified spectroscopically as an Sq type similar to LL chondritic meteorites. However, there will be a historically close approach to the Earth, estimated to be a 1 in 800 year event (on average, for an object of that size).

The Arecibo planetary radar telescope subsequently detected the asteroid at distances of 27-40 million km (17-25 million miles; 0.192-0.268 AU) in 2005 and 2006. Polarization ratios indicate Apophis appears to be smoother than most NEAs at 13-cm scales. Including the high precision radar measurements in a new orbit solution reduced the uncertainty in Apophis' predicted location in 2029 by 98%.

While trajectory knowledge was substantially corrected by the Arecibo data, a small estimated chance of impact (less than 1 in 45,000 using standard dynamical models) remained for April 13, 2036. With Apophis probably too close to the Sun to be measured by optical telescopes until 2011, and too distant for useful radar measurement until 2013, the underlying physics of Apophis' motion were considered to better understand the hazard.

RESULTS OF THE STUDY

(1) Extending the "Standard Dynamical Model"

Trajectory predictions for asteroids are normally based on a standard model of the solar system that includes the gravity of the Sun, Moon, other planets, and the three largest asteroids.

However, additional factors can influence the predicted motion in ways that depend on rarely known details, such as the spin of the asteroid, its mass, the way it reflects and absorbs sun-light, radiates heat, and the gravitational pull of other asteroids passing nearby. These were examined, along with the effect of Earth's non-uniform gravity field during encounters, and limitations of the computer hardware performing the calculations.

One would normally look for the influence of such factors as they gradually alter the trajectory over years. But, for Apophis, the changes remain small until amplified by passage through Earth's gravity field during the historically close approach in 2029.

For example, the team found solar energy can cause between 20 and 740 km (12 and 460 miles) of position change over the next 22 years leading into the 2029 Earth encounter. But, only 7 years later, the effect on Apophis' predicted position can grow to between 520,000 and 30 million km (323,000 and 18.6 million miles; 0.0035-0.2 AU). This range makes it difficult to predict if Apophis will even have a close encounter with Earth in 2036 when the orbital paths intersect.

It was found that small uncertainties in the masses and positions of the planets and Sun can cause up to 23 Earth radii of prediction error for Apophis by 2036.

The standard model of the Earth as a point mass can introduce up to 2.9 Earth radii of prediction error by 2036; at least the Earth's oblateness must be considered to predict an impact.

The gravity of other asteroids can cause up to 2.3 Earth radii of prediction uncertainty for Apophis.

By considering the range of Apophis' physical characteristics and these error sources, it was determined what observations prior to 2029 will most effectively reduce prediction uncertainties. Observing criteria were developed that, if satisfied, could permit eliminating the 2036 impact possibility without further physical characterization of Apophis.

Such observations could reduce the need for a visit by an expensive spacecraft and reduce the risk of Apophis being prematurely eliminated as a hazard under the standard model, only to drift back into the hazard classification system years later as the smaller, unmodeled forces act upon it.

(2) Mitigation

Mitigation was not specifically studied, but the team found small variations in the energy absorption and reflection properties of Apophis' surface are sufficient to cause enough trajectory change to obscure the difference between an impact and a miss in 2036. Changing the amount of energy Apophis absorbs by half a percent as late as 2018 - for example by covering a 40 x 40 meter (130 x 130 foot) patch with lightweight reflective materials (an 8 kg payload) - can change its position in 2036 by a minimum of one Earth radius.

A change somewhat greater than this minimum would be required to allow for prediction uncertainties. For Apophis, scaling up to distribute 250 kg (550 pounds) of a reflective or absorptive material (similar to the carbon fiber mesh being considered for solar sails) across the surface could use the existing radiation forces to produce a 6-sigma trajectory change, moving at least "99.9999998" percent of the statistically possible trajectories away from the Earth in just 18 years.

While no deflection is expected to be necessary, the team's research demonstrates that any deflection method must produce a change known in advance to be greater than all the error sources in the prediction, including some greater than those considered with the standard model.

(3) Impact probability

The study did NOT compute new impact probabilities. This is because important physical parameters (such as mass and spin pole) that affect its trajectory have not yet been measured and hence there are no associated probability distributions. The study characterizes how the Standard Dynamical Model can over or under-estimate impact probability for those objects having close planetary encounters prior to the potential impact.

The situation is similar to having 6 apples (the measured Apophis parameters) and 6 boxes whose contents are unknown (the unmeasured Apophis parameters), then trying to compute the probability one has a total of 12 apples (impact probability). The result reflects back what is assumed about the unknown contents of the boxes, but doesn't reveal new information. The contents of the boxes must be observed (measured) to learn something new.

For similar reasons, the Apophis study instead uses the minimum and maximum range-of-effect in place of computing impact probabilities to provide reasonable criteria for excluding impact in the absence of detailed physical knowledge, once new position measurements are obtained at six key times.

(4) Non-Apophis Conclusions

Aspects of the study relevant to asteroids other than Apophis:

* The Standard Dynamical Model can misestimate impact risk for the more numerous sub-km objects preceded by close planetary encounter(s). This problem might be addressed by reassessing impact potential after planetary encounters, given new measurements.

* The minimum-maximum effect of unmeasured parameters can provide enough information to exclude threats in certain cases, even if a realistic impact probability cannot be computed.

* Amplification of small trajectory offsets makes valid prediction across a close-encounter difficult without physical knowledge, but offers the potential to redirect the entire uncertainty region and has significant implications for costly spacecraft missions.

* A deflection effort must be known in advance to produce change greater than predicted uncertainties due to ALL parameters, not only the Standard Dynamical Model. For example, if a method produces 10 Earth-radii of change, but prediction uncertainties from all sources are 20 Earth-radii, the deflection would move the asteroid around within the noise, producing an unpredicted result or even a new hazard.

FUTURE

The future for Apophis on Friday, April 13 of 2029 includes an approach to Earth no closer than 29,470 km (18,300 miles, or 5.6 Earth radii from the center, or 4.6 Earth-radii from the surface) over the mid-Atlantic, appearing to the naked eye as a moderately bright point of light moving rapidly across the sky. Depending on its mechanical nature, it could experience shape or spin-state alteration due to tidal forces caused by Earth's gravity field.

This is within the distance of Earth's geosynchronous satellites. However, because Apophis will pass interior to the positions of these satellites at closest approach, in a plane inclined at 40 degrees to the Earth's equator and passing outside the equatorial geosynchronous zone when crossing the equatorial plane, it does not threaten the satellites in that heavily populated region.

Using criteria developed in this research, new measurements possible in 2013 (if not 2011) will likely confirm that in 2036 Apophis will quietly pass more than 49 million km (30.5 million miles; 0.32 AU) from Earth on Easter Sunday of that year (April 13).

UPDATE NOTES

2008-Jul-10:An equivalent way of describing the problem of computing an impact probability for Apophis is that the true 2029 "keyhole" leading to a 2036 impact -- as distinct from the theoretical keyhole derived from the Standard Dynamical Model -- is not known in the absence of knowledge of the complete dynamics. The problem is acute enough for Apophis that, IF impact hasn't been previously excluded, AND there hasn't been a through physical characterization, it can't be known for certain it will impact until during or after the 2029 encounter, even if a spacecraft is accompanying Apophis and providing position measurements good to 2 meters. That is, the keyhole could be determined only retrospectively, after passage through it.

2008-Apr-16:In response to inquiries, accidental impact with an artifical satellite in 2029 is vanishingly unlikely. As mentioned above, (1) Apophis does not pass near the zones where most satellites are located and (2) man-made satellites and Apophis both have small cross-sectional areas. Even if a high-velocity impact occurred, at most a large satellite could change Apophis' position 7 years later (in 2036) by only 100's of km. This is less than 1/10th the size of the smaller issues considered in the study, very much in the noise of the calculations, and can have no meaningful effect on Earth impact probability estimation (which already incorporates more than 30 million km of uncertainty). At such a late date, impact with an artificial satellite would be like a bug on the windshield of Apophis. Deflection efforts are dependent on being early enough to leverage the dynamics of the 2029 encounter. Events during the encounter lack such leverage.

A Long Journey Down 1

After Rose Valley , We've decided to walk down the road to see whether there are any other places of interest , someone forgot to brought out the map =P Oh well , we are strong and fit teenagers , we can walk -.-

Practically the bee farm here is the same everywhere throughout Malaysia , can't they be more creative? =.=

It was a mistake to go to Rose Valley in Tringkap in the first place , the distance between Bee Farm and Strawberry Farm is like god damn far -.- We walked like 1-2 hours on the road and yet to reach anywhere . Luck was on our side when a local bus passed by , hopped on it and went to Straberry Farm.

Soo Peng and Kai Chia at first wanted to grab some strawberries , sad to say the placed were closed down , prolly due to the fact that every strawberries were finished being picked? =P huahaha!

So, we've decided to like get some directions from the Hotel beside the strawberry farm, which is Equitorial Hotel. It's a place you never want to go by foot -.- From the main entrance till the lobby is like a small jog round botanical garden .

When we're in it , nobody is able to guide us as the person in charge of the counter went MIA , duh! Can't their service be any better than this? Disappointed in them.. LOL.

So , we walked out of the place * YAY! we jogged round botanical twice * . Forgotten who decided that he/she wanted to have strawberry ice creams. Bad memory , it's a week ago , how do u expect me to remember -.-

Well well , after a long and tiring 6 blog post about my first day , I feel relieve stating that its the 2nd day of my Cameron Trip!! Wheee!! Shall keep it short and easy..

Brian eventually woke up quite early , don't know why and he prepared breakfast for us ! Wheee! It's so fun to be served early in the morning especially when you're doing math! YESH , I'm nuts! I woke up early in the morning everyday around 7am to do math till around 8.30a.m. LOL..

I've mentioned before that we're on a tight budget right? We skipped the Full Day Tour offered by the tour guide which cost us Rm 78!! and rather walked by foot! Yesh , I'm proud to say that we CONQUERED Cameron Highland by foot! From Tringkap-Brinchang-Tanah Rata..

Our first stop , we took a van up till Trinkap and began our journey down from there.. Rose Valley , First Destination.. hehe.. What do ya expect to have in the rose valley? Peacock?Rabbits? hehe..
